Jazzhouse, Sax & Honey

An evening of jazz presented by our resident group Jazzhouse, and hosted monthly by Tony Phillips.

Tony & Jazzhouse will act as the resident entertainment with a different guest act playing the second half each month.

Appearing as guest artists on August 20th will be award-winning tenor saxophone and female vocal duo "Sax & Honey" (Andrea and Lynden Blades). The duo have worked together since 2000 (after a chance meeting in a jazz club in New Zealand) and have created a smooth and stylish act which showcases a popular mix of jazz, swing, Latin and soulful contemporary music. The pair perform live with their own specially commissioned backings of Steinway piano, double-bass and drums (all recorded live by the musicians from their five-piece band) to create a dynamic live-band sound with an intimate feel.
