The Great Classics

Tchaikovsky - Piano Concerto No.1
Sibelius - Symphony No.5

Conductor: Fabien Gabel. Piano: Natasha Paremski.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra returns to the Wycombe Swan with three classical masterpieces, two award-winning artists and one magnificent concert to end their 2014 season.

The Orchestra will open the concert with Beethoven's stately Egmont Overture, leading powerfully into the thunderous opening chords of Tchaikovsky's sublime Romantic Piano Concerto No.1, performed by pianist Natasha Paremski. With her consistently striking and dynamic performances, the Russian-born pianist reveals astounding virtuosity and voracious interpretive abilities. Fabien Gabel leads the Orchestra into Sibelius's majestic Symphony No.5, closing the concert with music full of intensity, beauty and passion.
