The Making Of The Overlord Embroidery

The 272ft long Overlord Embroidery depicts the events of the 1944 landings at Normandy during the Second World War. The story of this vast embroidery, which can be seen on display at the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth, contains many intriguing and fascinating details. Come and find out how it was made and uncover some of its stories in this talk by Andrew Whitmarsh, Curator of the D-Day Museum. Held in the Langstone Room.
