Programme to include:

WA Mozart – Overture to the Marriage of Figaro
Franz Schubert – Symphony No.9
Ludwig van Beethoven - Triple Concerto

Conductor: Robin Browning

Soloists: Francis Grier (piano), Savitri Grier (violin), Indira Grier (cello).

Mozart’s charming and popular Overture to the Marriage of Figaro sets the scene of anticipation for two major 19th century works. Scubert’s Symphony No.9 ‘The Great’ was reported by Schumann to be ‘the greatest work since Beethoven’s death’. The de Havilland Philharmonic will then be joined by one of the UK’s most extraordinarily gifted musical families for a performance of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto; a concerto for all three soloists. We are delighted to welcome back Savitri Grier, on this occasion alongside her father and sister - pianist Francis and cellist Indira. The Grier family have performed together for over 12 years in many major venues.
