Battle Proms

Part of the UK's premier classical proms series, featuring Spitfire, Blades acrobatic team, cannons, cavalry and fireworks, this will be the 14th annual Battle Proms at Hatfield House.

Relax with your hampers and champers, win a prize at the traditional fairground stalls and get in the party spirit as warm-up act The Rockabellas take to the stage!

There’s a thundering of hooves as the mounted cavalry take you back in time demonstrating battlefield skill-at-arms with lances, pistols and superb horsemanship. This year the cavalry will be in First World War regalia to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1.

The gunners of the English Field Artillery Company herald the commencement of the evening’s musical programme with a volley of shots from an authentic WW1 field gun. This year the Salute will be in honour of those who served in the Great War.

The perfect summer evening closes with the traditional sing-along, flag-waving proms finale, including favourites Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory, culminating in a dazzling firework spectacular!
