Oh! What A Lovely War is an epic musical developed by maverick director Joan Littlewood and her ensemble at the Theatre Workshop in 1963. The play highlights the ironies and tragedies of the First World War in stories and songs.

Twelve musicians, dancers, singers and clowns tell the entire story of the war and sing all the songs. The play includes a collection of irreverent and poignant songs such as Pack Up Your Troubles, Keep The Home Fires Burning and It's A Long Way To Tipperary.
