Workshops will be split into two age ranges: 4-7yrs and 8-11yrs. Children aged 4-7yrs can choose from Food For Thought where we will investigate food’s textures, tastes and smells by getting our hands dirty exploring, measuring and observing it or Amazing Bubbles where we will explore what makes a good bubble, whether bubbles are always round and experiment making our own bubble wands.

Children aged 8-11yrs can choose from Pirate Catapult Challenge where we will design and make a catapult to sink a pirate galleon, working with just simple resources and a limited budget or Jitterbugs where we’ll explore how to make a circuit and create your own Jitterbug to take home.

The day will finish with The Gross Lab science show which all children can attend and find out what happens when you cut yourself, what saliva is for, why we burp (and poop) and help us to make fake poo, snot and sick!
