A fun programme for all tastes and ages features Saints Saens’ amusing caricatures of the animal kingdom, narrated with the witty poems of Ogden Nash.

Also included with the ‘young at heart’ theme are; a number of folk frolics from Percy Grainger, Mozart’s evergreen Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, and Britten’s childhood memoirs bought to life in the Simple Symphony.

Animated by Walt Disney in 1938, Ferdinand the Bull makes an appearance in a version for virtuoso violin and narration by composer Alan Ridout.
