When world-renowned Polar Explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes turned his attentions from the great frozen wilderness of the Poles to the world's highest and most testing mountains, he faced several challenges. For a start, he was just entering his sixties and recovering from a very severe heart attack, had no climbing experience and, not least, suffered from vertigo!
Sir Ranulph Fiennes will be joining us at G Live to talk about his lifetime of record-breaking expeditions, from the first hovercraft expedition up the Nile and the discovery of the Lost City of Ubar, through to his 52,000 mile circumnavigation of the world via both poles and his 2013 expedition to attempt the first ever trans-Antarctic winter crossing.
