Vintage Big Band Picnic

Nothing nicer on a summer Sunday afternoon than sitting in an English country garden listening to a live band!

A first for St James School, in Bargte, Grimsby, there will be a marquee under the trees for the Band and you will just need to bring along your tables, chairs and picnic basket. Don't worry about the weather! If it turns out to be a wet day, the event will be moved to the Markham Hall next to the Gardens and the picnic will go ahead!

Christine Scott will be singing all your old favourite songs. The Band, directed by Major (retd) Paul Murrell, will take you through the 40s and 50s and into the new dawn of band music. You will be able to dance on the grass if you want to and simply enjoy an an English Sunday afternoon.
