BBC Sports Personality Of The Year

Tickets for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2014 have now gone on sale.

The event, in its 61st year, will take place on Sunday 14th December at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, the city which staged the Commonwealth Games this summer.

Hosted by Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan, it will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC One HD.

Last year, the award was won by tennis player Andy Murray following his Wimbledon triumph.

Sports Personality will look back on a year that featured the Winter Olympics, the football World Cup, the women's Rugby World Cup and the Ryder Cup.

Olympians Rebecca Adlington and Denise Lewis are among the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year panel members for 2014.
