25th Anniversary Tour: Deacon Blue + Red Sky July
2012 marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Deacon Blue's debut album 'Raintown'. To celebrate, the band are reuniting to record a new studio album (released September 2012 by Demon Music) and head out on a full UK tour in October.
The band have enjoyed five top five albums and 18 top 40 singles over the course of their career. Now, 25 years on, Deacon Blue's enduring success can be measured by six million album sales and an almost peerless live reputation.
Deacon Blue
Their name was inspired by a Steely Dan song, their music influenced by the artfulness of Bruce Springsteen channelled through a distinctly Scottish upbringing. The end product is Deacon Blue. Fronted by singer/songwriter Ricky Ross, Deacon Blue have enjoyed five top five albums and 18 top 40 singles over the last 25 years, achieving massive chart success in the '80s with tracks including Real Gone Kid and Fergus Sings The Blues.

Red Sky July
Red Sky July came together to make music they love with no boundaries and expectations, creating music with a hazy, folk-inflected sound. Featuring Shelly Poole (one half of Alisha's Attic), Charity Hair (The Alice Band), Ally McErlaine (Texas) with musical collaborations from Graeme Pleeth, Paul Statham and Mark Neary. Their highly anticipated album has just been completed in North London.
