About this event
Status Quo reform the original "frantic Four" line up for a short series of dates including the weekend sat and sun in Glasgow....Pre show gigs are in Ivory Blacks in the afternoon of both.
Backwater were formed in 2008 by 4 experienced live musicians, Backwater have rapidly become Scotland's favourite Status Quo tribute. They cover most of Quo's repertoire but with an emphasis on the classic "Frantic Four" years of the '70s and its infectious, classic, boogie rock. Their inaugural gig, at the Eagle Tavern, Prestwick in June 2009, was a short set but well received by an appreciative, bouncing, audience. A further high profile gig in their hometown of Mauchline, Ayrshire in Nov 2009, also received critical praise from many more hardcore Quo fans and resulted in them being asked to open the Scottish Status Quo convention, "McVention V" held in Paisley, May, 2010.
