In The Medieval Experience, the four talented young musicians introduce the music of medieval Europe in a riot of exotic sounds and infectious rhythms: from foot-tapping Italian dances and enchanting French troubadour songs to uplifting Iberian choruses and English carols. The programme demonstrates the rich variety of surviving music from the middle ages, played on a fascinating range of period instruments, including vielle, recorders,
bagpipes, medieval harp and percussion.
