These four distinguished musicians came together in 2012 to combine their shared passion for chamber music, and what a wonderful programme they have chosen to share with us: Beethoven at his sunniest; Fauré's unforgettable melodic invention flowing like wine; and British composer Martin Butler's impressionistic portrait of a night in Moorish Spain. And for the climax of the evening, Schumann at his most inspired in the superb quartet he wrote in his 'year of chamber music'.
