A troublesome mouse, a funeral, the morning after the night before, and stalkers are just some of the subjects which drive this year's oneACTS festival at the cornerHOUSE.

This year, the event features nine new pieces of writing which have never been staged before. They are between 15 to 30 minutes long. Four will be performed on one night and five on another, on alternate evenings throughout the May 12th to 17th run.

The festival is in its tenth year and has become a well established and highly respected part of the local arts scene. The plays selected to be part of this year's oneACTS are a real mix of comedy and drama. They include:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: Aunt Julie's Funeral by Tim Harrison (directed by Denise Rocard), Morning by Jane James (directed by Graham Large), Stalkers by Madeleine Mason (directed by Nick Tamila), When You're A Boy by Imelda Topping (directed by Colin Goodger) and Sir Gwaine Colombelles by Tim Harrison (directed by Dina Yates).

Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday: The Temp by Josephine McDermott (directed by Miriam Zendle), Changes by Ian Davies (directed by Josephine McDermott), The Visit by Graham Large (directed by Katrin Feldhus) and Windmills by Julie Birkett (directed by Lucy Hanneghan).
