Beverley Folk Festival
From a small-scale series of concerts run by volunteers in 1983, the festival has gone from being a local festival of traditional folk music to one offering a unique, exciting and vibrant mix of music, poetry, comedy, film and lots more catering for many different tastes and all age groups.
Enjoyed by local residents, families and festival-goers from further afield with some from as far as Australia, Beverley has grown to be one of the most popular festivals of its kind, receiving a well deserved place in The Sunday Times Top 10 of Festivals. An enchanting blend of dance, comedy, literature,poetry and of course music.
To celebrate its 'Big 30' in 2013, the festival is moving to a new site - Beverley Racecourse. This venue provides excellent facilities and is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Westwood, whilst being just a stone’s throw from the historic town centre.
