Plans are well and truly afoot for Bestival's 2012 shindig - and after 2011's stratospheric heights, that saw 50,000 revellers having a bacchanalian ball spread across the Star Dust field, Swamp Shack, Wishing Tree, Big Top, Psychedelic Worm, Roller Disco, Bollywood, Black Dahlia Tomorrow's World and beyond, there's a lot to live up to!
Making a triumphant return to Bestival are Florence + The Machine, headlining the Main Stage on Friday night. A longstanding Bestival buddy, Florence Welch and her trusty Machine have wowed Bestivalites across the years.
New Order have been revealed as the Saturday night headliner. With an armoury of anthems stretching back three decades, New Order live is an essential experience.
One of the most celebrated and prominent figures in popular music, Stevie Wonder is the Sunday headliner, closing Bestival 2012 in a UK festival exclusive.
There's going to be a healthy dose of unbridled joy on the dancefloor too, as Bestival are overjoyed to declare that dance music legends Orbital will be crossing the Solent for an epicurean adventure, or as we used to call it a proper rave up, headlining the Big Top on Sunday night! Also announced are two festival exclusives with The xx and Sigur Ros both appearing on the Main Stage over the weekend.
With the return of dear old favourites and a whole world of new wonders in store you can be sure it will be yet another extravaganza, filled with amazing music, magic and mayhem.
