Yoriko Wakabayashi

Yoriko Wakabayashi was born in Tokyo and has been based in London for over 20 years. She studied at The Royal Academy of Music with Hamish Milne where she won numerous prizes including the MacFarren Medal, the Academy’s highest performance award, which subsequently led to her London recital debut at The Southbank Centre.

A regular recitalist throughout the UK, Yoriko’s engagements have also taken her abroad, notably to Japan and Malaysia. She has broadcast on Classic FM and recorded for the Oxford Classics label.
