Royal Armouries Museum will will mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landings by showcasing the work of Portsmouth photographer Russell Squires in 25 poignant photos.

Russell uses a series of colour and monochrome shots to explore the French coastline where on June 6, 1944, British, American and Canadian forces landed on the Normandy beaches in one of history’s largest military assaults – D-Day.

Landings is part of the Royal Armouries' Inspired by programme - a project that harnesses the talents of community groups and individuals and invites them to represent the museum’s national collections in exciting and innovative ways.
