Bellowhead
Bellowhead hit the road in November for a 17 date tour of theatres and venues across the country.
Bellowhead's third album, 'Hedonism', was the highest-selling independently-released traditional folk album of all time, sold a staggering 60,000 copies and was awarded a Silver Disc. Their new album 'Broadside' entered the UK album charts at number 16, spawned an A-listed single on BBC Radio 2 and won 'Best Album' at the 2013 Folk Awards.
Yet it's still their explosive, spectacular and theatrical live shows that win them the most acclaim. 5-times winner of 'Best Live Band' at the Radio 2 Awards, they have transported folk music into hitherto unknown territory and spearheaded the new folk boom.
Bellowhead
Since their formation in 2004 Bellowhead have occupied a unique place in Britain's musical landscape. Wild, joyous, perverse, bold, crazy, full-blooded, intricate, fearless, funny, epic and mostly BIG, the mighty 11-piece Bellowhead blend folk, jazz, classical, disco and world music influences with English music and cabaret to stunning effect. Playing more than 20 instruments between them with six vocalists, they deliver a heady brew that defies categorisation and have placed themselves at the cutting edge of the contemporary music scene while harnessing all the power and mystery of ancient English and European musical traditions.
