Siobhan Davies Dance Company

A counterpoint to Conrad Shawcross' installation; where Timepiece marks the passing of time with precision, ROTOR’s three live works manipulate time in order to achieve a set of tasks.

Featuring four dance artists who mirror the movement of a clock hand as they walk in concentric circles, the almost hypnotic cycle is broken by small disturbances introduced by the dancers, which test their ability to hold themselves in a line as they adjust their speed or position. The artists also perform a score, a complex act of balancing the timing of too many movements, sounds and words.
