Little Bentley Hall Waterways & Garden Show

Little Bentley Hall Gardens just outside Colchester are said to be one of the finest private gardens in East Anglia. Home to the Palmer-Tomkinson’s these gardens now only open for once every three years, so it’s a unique opportunity to visit and view the gardens, which include a Lake and ancient stew ponds which have been extensively planted with water loving plants.

There will be gardening and cookery talks and demonstrations, including talks from BBC Gardening Presenter Steve Brookes, a fine art show a silent auction, over 80 garden and gift stalls, and hot and cold food available all weekend. There will also be the famous Little Bentley Afternoon Tea Garden to enjoy.

The event is run in aid of local charities. These include ABF the Soldiers Charity, Essex Red Cross, Canine Partners, local church, YFC and Rotary Charities. Our last show in 2010 raised over £85,000 for the charities with almost 10,000 visitors.

Children under 15 go free (require a ticket). Children under 2 go free (do not require a ticket).

Dogs on leads only. No picnics in the gardens please.
