The Sound Of Music
Bath Light Operatic Group make a welcome return to present one of the most famous musicals of all time.
Set in 1938, it tells the story of Maria, a free-spirited nun who is hired by Captain Von Trapp to care for his seven children. The Captain and Maria eventually fall in love and marry, but their happiness is shattered when the Nazis invade Austria. The family’s narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre.
This all-time favourite, family show is filled with a host of well-loved songs including Climb Every Mountain, The Sound of Music, My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi and Edelweiss.
