Chrysalis
A dance/physical theatre piece narrating women's path in life from birth, through childhood and up to the moment a woman realises that she is, in fact, a woman and is in need of a man. In this way it explores the place of femininity in the modern times. Women progress and become stronger, yet they are turning their back to the more animalistic nature of finding a mate and reproducing.
Mariana Taragano's engaging choreography combines two dancers, a flutist and a cellist. Through this inspiring collaboration between dancers and musicians, a new language is created.
In the same way a poet uses words to create phrases, verses and subsequently imagery, Taragano Theatre's dancers speak with movements and actions as its musicians communicate through notes to bring their concepts to life.
