The Night Before Christmas: Father Christmas
What better start to Christmas than a family outing to the Mayor's extravanga for the children of Ely?
This year's fundraising event features free children's games, visit Santa in his grotto (small additional charge) and there will be festive refreshments on sale.
Hear local celebrity narrator Jeremy Harmer performing the Night Before Christmas. Volunteer to try out the handbells in the Coventry Carol, Round the concert off by singing carols until you lift the roof off the Maltings.
Conducted by Steve Bingham with Jeremy Harmer as narrator and Jenny Bingham, soprano.
Father Christmas
Traditional yuletide performer, with a seemingly bottomless bag of fun and magic, adored by children and adults alike. Alas, his visits to these shores come but annually, but each year his performances are met with a heady mix of anticipation and excitement, celebration and commercialism. And like all the greats, he is often referred to by a single name: Santa. Unlikely to disappoint.
