Singer songwriter and interpreter of traditional material, touring worldwide. With many albums to his credit is well known for his songs of Northern England and Maritime Songs. Can also be seen with Chris Parkinson as a duo and his band.
His musical plays include Eye of the Wind (the tale of the explorer James Cook); The Journey Home - a rewrite of Homer's Odyssey and The Moorland Whalers - the story of the Yorkshire Whaling Industry.
His recent album, War Horse was hailed as 'a classic folk album that will stand the test of time' (folkradio.co.uk).
