Professor Andrew Whiten Lecture

Professor Andrew Whiten will be talking about the cultures of monkeys and apes, covering discoveries from the wild and at the zoo.The lecture will look at social learning and cultures in wild chimpanzees in the Budongo Forest and vervet monkeys at our South Africa field site and in Living Links and the Budongo Trail at Edinburgh Zoo. Andrew Whiten is the founding and current Director of the 'Living Links to Human Evolution' Primate Research Centre in Edinburgh Zoo.
