Knights & Princesses School

Throughout the school holidays young visitors can experience what it was like in medieval times at Knights & Princesses School. Suitable for children ages 6-12 approx., classes include lots of hands-on activities to keep them entertained. Children are encouraged to come in costume to really enter the spirit of the event.

Knights in training learn how to prepare and protect armour and discover the best way to arm and disarm their master before battle. Princesses are shown the correct way to give a proper and perfect curtsey, while everyone can experience what it was like to grow up and serve in a royal household. At the end of each session, children will line up and march in order of highest ranking before the boys are knighted and girls demonstrate their curtsey.

Knights & Princesses School is a free activity but normal admission rates apply. All children booked into the Knights & Princesses School will be eligible for two FREE arrows with every archery lesson. Archery lessons start from £3 for 5 arrows (last archery session at 4.30 pm). A 10% discount is also available on Shield Painting which starts from £4 for a basic shield (last painting session at 4 pm).
