The Art Of Andrew Forrest

This season of Art Under Ground springs forth with the work of Eastbourne artist Andrew Forrest. Throughout January he will display a charming selection of paintings inspired by local and other locations he has visited.

Favouring the boldness and dynamic colour of acrylic and the subtlety and versatility of watercolour he is stimulated by the connection of his subject matter with its historical context. His work often surprises as well as delights, where unexpected features appear in the landscape.

Andrew began painting seriously as a professional in the early 1980s, now he is retired he devotes himself to improving his technique. He has exhibited widely in London, Guildford, France and in many Sussex galleries.

Andrew Forrest’s art will be on show and on sale every Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. It can, of course, also be viewed by the audience at any UGT event.
