A Morning At The Music Hall

Lady Crabtree heads a stellar cast of performers, both amateur and professional, all with wide experience of theatre in general – and music hall in particular.

They have all been dipping into the Music Hall songbook, that includes classics such as “I took My Harp to a Party”(“but nobody asked me to play”) , “The Bird on Nellie's Hat” (“ 'Now, he don't know Nellie like I do', Said the saucy little bird on Nellie's hat”), and “I'm Knitting a Singlet for Cecil” (“The front isn't straight, At the back there's a Vee, And the armholes are not Where I meant them to be...”).

The accomplished James Neilson Graham will be at the piano, as Chairlady Crabtree leads us through an hilarious morning of songs, sketches and monologues from, on the distaff side, Josie Jallad, Jacqueline Nisbett, Romy McCabe, Linda Regan, and Carol Mounter Collins (who is also directing the show), alongside Bill Adams and Ian Collins. Also for your delight and delectation, you'll be able to enjoy old favourites like “I'm Henry the Eighth” and “Oh, What a Beauty” - as the audience in Leeds used to be told every week, “featuring the whole cast, but chiefly yourselves!”

Throughout the show, Fairtrade coffee & tea, and home-made cake, will be on sale in the UGT coffee-bar. Victorian or Edwardian dress optional.
