Easter holiday activities examine the strange scientific inventions created by boffins to ensure victory on D-Day.

IWM will explain what D-Day was all about and why it was so important in the course of the Second World War. They'll look at how science, and a chap called Percy Hobart, overcame the challenges of landing armoured vehicles on a defended beach.

Have a go at firing a petard, build your own Bailey bridge using geomag magnetic construction and guide a remote-controlled tank over tricky terrain and through the obstacle course. Try on British Army mini-uniforms and make an Airfix model of a Supermarine Spitfire.

Easter holiday activities are included in general admission to IWM Duxford. Visitors aged 15 and under enjoy free admission to the museum and to the Easter holiday activities.
