A heart-warming show capturing the stories of the men who worked in the Tyne shipyards from the 1950s to the 1980s.
A symbol of the North East’s industrial heritage, our shipyards were respected throughout the world and the show includes new songs, stories and film of these hard-working men.
Writer Tom Kelly and film-maker Andrew Hagan spoke to men who worked on the river and these filmed stories are featured in the show.
Written by Tom and musician Ian Ravenscroft, the songs are performed by Ian, Ron Smith and folk singer Ted Cuskin. A loving testament to the past.
