Join DMTC on a journey back in time - to Rome, with its Roman legions, eunuchs and virgins, soldiers and slaves, stunning surprises, cunning disguises, panderers, philanderers, mistakes, fakes, rhymes, mimes - and a happy ending, of course. It’s something amazing, something amusing, something for everyone: musical comedy tonight.
A Roman slave strikes a bargain with his love-struck young master. In exchange for his freedom, the scheming servant will let the young man meet the beautiful maiden he’s admired from afar. So what if she’s been promised to a jealous (and gigantic) warrior? He will try anything to be free, and the result according to the New York Post is ‘one of those few terrific evenings which really can send you home dancing… you’ll laugh your togas off’.
