Dunbar’s pretty little Episcopal church hosts the Heath Quartet’s third concert, beginning with a lovely example of Michael Tippett’s early lyrical style, composed in 1942 just after his oratorio ‘A Child of Our Time’.

Beethoven was Tippett’s musical god, and the Heaths play the most dramatic of the set of six pieces that launched him on his revolutionary recreation of the string quartet.
