Van Morrison is set to perform over two nights in The Great Hall in Downshire Estate in Downpatrick.
Van Morrison is without a doubt one of the most original recording artists in musical history. His live shows are always inspired and transcendental while some of his albums such as Astral Weeks, Moondance and It’s Too Late To Stop Now are widely viewed as among the best ever made.
His most recent Northern Irish shows are now famous for their intimate atmosphere, and it is in such a setting that Van is at his most relaxed, engaging with his audience in a way no other auditorium permits. Whilst there’ll be a selection of his most popular hits, there’ll be some of the standards which so influenced his songwriting, and a few songs that perhaps you haven’t heard for a while.
