Caroline Bird

We're really excited to have Caroline Bird in Diss. She is without a doubt one of the major poets of her generation. Her poems are really inventive and funny, they embark on surreal flights of fancy but still manage to hit you in gut. She has published four collections with Carcanet and has been shortlisted for Dylan Thomas prize twice. To add to all the literary accolades she puts on a mesmerising performance, performing her poems without paper and peppering her intros with witty asides.
