Grassroots Football

Works that are grounded in the ‘grassroots’ of football, documenting anything from Sunday league park footballers, kids playing in the streets, to the un-sung heroes – the managers of the local youth teams or the backroom staff of your local amateur or semi-professional club.

It could be the local benefactors or fans who support a little-known club; or the community worker using football to inspire and improve people’s lives. With football’s elite strutting their stuff in Brazil, Quad want to highlight all the great things about the ‘grassroots’ of football, celebrating what the game means on a local level, in light of the ‘greatest show on earth’.
