Creative Coding: Processing
This first look at Processing for total beginners is an introduction to programming in the context of the visual arts.
The computer language to be taught and discussed, Processing, is an open source software born out of research at MIT and is used by thousands of artists, designers and academics across the world. Interactive installations in the Museum of Modern Art, the V&A and the New World Center all use Processing.
The language is easy to understand, quick to create with and has many complex possibilities. Users are empowered by what is possible by travelling beyond the confines of proprietary software and creating their own design tools.
The workshop will be delivered and led by internationally respected creative coder and digital artist, Ashley James Brown.
