One Day Course - Caring for your watercolours and old photographs: Jane Pudsey
This is an introduction to the care and preservation of historic and artistic items on paper & related materials: paper documents, books, prints, watercolours, photographic materials, parchment etc. The class will cover aspects of: make-up, points of weakness,
storage and handling, cleaning, what can go wrong and why, what you can do about it,
and when you need help. Students will get the most out of this if they review their collections in advance and arrive armed with questions.
There will be a one hour lunch break.
Jane Pudsey
A curator with a particular specialism in archives, including paper, parchment, wax seals and books. She leads emergency response training at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry, and has spoken at a number of professional conferences and seminars.
