Drawing From Antiquity

Artists have long looked to classical antiquity for inspiration.

Drawing from ancient works of art and classical objects was a regular part of studio practice since 15th century. Sketching from the original works of art and objects within the gallery you will also use coloured pencils to envision how the stone artefacts were once painted in bold colours.

Under the guidance of artist Frieda van de Poll you can enjoy this tradition and expand your skills. Supplies are provided and all skill levels are welcome.
