Wunderkind: Lancashire Sinfonietta, Callum Smart
Lancashire's star-studded orchestra shows its youthful spirit with this night of music celebrating young musicians. All of the works featured in its eclectic programme were written by composers in their teens or early 20s, including the hotly-anticipated world premiere of Veiled Dawn by Tom Harrold, the ensemble's Young Composer in Residence.
BBC Young Musician of the Year finalist, Callum Smart, is guest soloist. This talented young violinist is creating a stir at home and abroad as he develops his "mature" voice at just 15 years old.
