UmeDuo

Cello and percussion duo UmeDuo was founded in 2002 by the Swedish sisters Karolina and Erika Öhman from Umeå.

The focus of their performances is original contemporary music for this adventurous and highly unusual combination of instruments, together with arrangements of works from other eras, folk music and jazz.

As a duo they have performed in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. The sisters both also follow distinguished international careers as cellist and percussionist appearing with numerous orchestras and ensembles.

A varied and stimulating programme is planned by UmeDuo for Music on Mondays.
