Spencer At Burghclere

Timothy Hyman RA, curator of the Tate’s Spencer retrospective in 2001, will discuss the artist’s pivotal Burghclere images- the cycle of paintings that were both a fulfilment of his fresco aspiration and a new turn towards Realism and ‘Objectivity’.
