Fundraising Concert

The Galliard Trio will be making a welcome return to the area with a concert in St James' Church, Cherhill, on Saturday, 27 September, two years after their last concert in Compton Bassett Church.

The Trio has established a fine reputation for programmes of great variety. Its repertoire is wide, partly because of the different combinations of instruments available - flute; oboe, cor anglais, harpsichord and bassoon.

The programme for the concert in Cherhill will include works by composers as diverse as Mozart, Haydn, Handel, Shostakovich and the French twentieth century composer Ibert.

Ticket price includes a glass of fizz, and proceeds will go towards maintaining and restoring St James' Church, parts of which go back to the twelfth century. The evening will get under way at 7:00pm with drinks and then the concert starting at 7:30pm.

Galliard Trio

Featuring Andrew Morris (flute), Martin White (oboe and cor anglais) and Alec Forshaw (bassoon and piano).
