Medieval Carlisle Discussion Afternoon

What was life like in medieval Carlisle? Our curator of archaeology, Tim Padley, will lead a discussion afternoon looking at domestic objects from the period and trying to build up a picture of what it means.

The afternoon will consist of a short presentation about medieval Carlisle. Based on excavation and other sources. This will be followed by a handling session using artefacts from our collections. These will include wood and leather as well as pottery and coins. At all stages there will be a chance to ask questions and join in the discussion.
