Autumn Celebration: Birmingham Royal Ballet, Royal Ballet Sinfonia
Birmingham Royal Ballet return to the Centre with two evenings of ballet that showcase the full range of the company’s work, with live music from the Royal
Ballet Sinfonia.
The week begins with a programme of three unique short pieces. The Grand Tour is a funny take on the eccentric celebrities of the 1920s, accompanied by the songs of
Noel Coward, whilst Faster shows off the speed, power and athleticism of ballet, inspired by the Olympic motto ‘Faster, Higher, Stronger’. Finally, The Dream features music by Mendelssohn, taking inspiration from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
