In the short period since the release of debut album, 'Days Of Destiny', Mark Pontin Group have established themselves firmly on the UK Blues/Rock scene. With rave reviews the album achieved extensive airplay all around the world, and saw the band break onto the playlists of top stations such as 'Planet Rock' and 'Team Rock'. Recognition then followed from the network of Blues/Rock DJ's and reviewers who nominated the band in 5 categories at the 2014 British Blues Awards. Finalists in the 'Guitarist', 'Bassist', and 'Album Of The Year' categories, the band reached the final 6 in 'Blues Song' and 'Emerging Artist' categories, a tremendous feat considering the band remains independant and unsigned, with no financial backing.
Gearing up for the release of their second album, Mark Pontin (Guitar/Vocals), Alun Walters (Bass/Backing Vocals) and Dafydd Davies (Drums/Backing Vocals) - Mark Pontin Group look set to hit the very top level.
