Festival Parade

The annual Opening Parade will be an amazing and colourful sea of Children’s Rainbow made up from the creative participation from 8 primary schools and community groups from in and around the City of Canterbury!

With the support from the group Espression Arts from here in Canterbury each individual school will take on a colourful and larger than life section of the rainbow and create a wonderful centre piece, butterflies, dragons, fish to name a few for each section will be teamed up with capes, wings, banners, streamers, hats and outfits, different items to wear and to transform into the colours of the Rainbow!

The parade will start with all its colour under the back drop of the Cathedral in the Precincts and it will wind its way through the streets of Canterbury brightening up everyone’s day on its way until it reaches Whitefriars and its end in Rose Square.
