STC are proud to present 'Half a Sixpence' this year - based on an H.G.Wells' novel and made famous by the film starring Tommy Steele. It tells the story of a draper's apprentice who unexpectedly inherits a fortune, and climbs the social ladder before losing everything and realising that you just can't buy happiness.
